EBBS FAIR IN SOFIA

The National Palace of Culture – Congress Centre Sofia (NDK) is the largest and the most impressive multifunctional complex in South-Eastern Europe perfectly equipped for realizing prestigious events of the whole range of cultural and social-economic life. It is a member of two of the most prestigious international associations in the field of congress business – ICCA and AIPC, and in 2005, it has been distinguished by The World’s Best Congress Centre Award.

Incorporating facilities and excellent technical equipment, NDK is still the most preferable place to carry out professional fairs of a variety of branches:
• NPC is situated in the capital’s centre, which provides easy access and effective communications.
• 15000 sq. m of lobbies and halls lay on 11 levels, on which 6000 sq. m can be built up of non-standard exhibition areas – a real challenge to the design teams.
• There are comfortable halls to hold parallel events: displays, press conferences, symposia, cocktails, etc.
• NPC has prestigious partners like Bery Group Bulgaria and EBBS events, on which stable relations are built up in organizing and carrying out fairs.

The National Palace of Culture is a multifunctional complex, a contemporary castle synthesis of modern architecture and plastic arts. The magnificent spaces are spiritualized by more than hundreds of the monumental painting, sculpture, wood-carving, Gobelin, metal plastic, and other art genres.

2. FAIR PROGRAMME

The EBBS fair is located on the 5th floor.
Participants can arrange their booths with materials, roll-banners, posters and others on Thursday (after 16.00 pm).
When you arrive in the National Palace of Culture, you will receive your registration package including your badge.
Important: All participants are required to use their badges during the event.

Opening official ceremony
Every edition of the EBBS fair starts with an official ceremony. There are many official guests including representatives of Bulgarian Government, Bulgarian Parliament, Sofia Municipality and representatives from more than 15 foreign embassies. Besides them, the event is promoted by more than 60 media partners in Bulgaria which increases its popularity and reputation.

Each year, EBBS fair organizes Youth Conference “15th March: World Consumer Rights Day”. The main themes are connected with basic consumer rights:

4. The right to be heard
5. The right to satisfaction of basic needs
6. The right to redress
7. The right to consumer education
8. The right to a healthy environment

Information for Presenters
Please note all presentations must be uploaded (with a USB stick) in the presenting hall of the EBBS fair where your representative is scheduled for at least 1 h before the session starts.
In case you bring your own computer, please note that you will NOT be able to use it to run the presentation.

You must send us a filled request for participation by email. When we receive your reguest we will send you an application form.

You can send advertising materials to our central office. When the event comes we will bring them to the place of exhibition. We have to receive all materials at least 10 days before opening the fair. Before sending, please check custom regulations for the EU.

We work with some hotels which are located close to the National Palace of Culture. They have five, three or two stars and their costs depend on their services. Some of them provide discounts to our participants. Please, make a request for more details.

There is wireless internet in the halls and you can use your laptop.

All participants receive hot drinks, water and packed lunch during the fair. The standard registration package includes two representatives (two persons). If you plan to participate with more representatives, you have to make a registration for them.

Nearest international airport: Sofia International Airport
All participants are responsible for making their own arrangements to travel to and from Sofia Airport to the city centre. You can reach easily by metro and buses.

Taxi

Transport from Sofia Airport by taxi takes about 15 – 20 minutes.
Official airport taxis are standing right in front of the terminals (advance reservation is not necessary).

The airport taxis accept cash in Bulgarian currency
Average price: 20 – 30 levs / 10 – 15 EUR
The one-way journey to the city centre should cost from about 20 levs to 30 levs (i.e. the equivalent of about 10 – 15 euros).
